Brittany Murphy was an American actress and singer. She was born on November 10, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Edison, New Jersey. She began her acting career with small roles in TV series and independent films. Her breakthrough came with the 1995 film "Clueless," in which she played the character of Tai Fraiser.
Murphy went on to appear in several successful films, including "Girl, Interrupted," "8 Mile," "Sin City," and "Happy Feet." She also lent her voice to many animated movies and TV shows, such as "King of the Hill" and "Futurama."
In addition to acting, Murphy released an album in 2006 and made several of her own music videos. She was also an advocate for various charitable organizations, including the American Red Cross and the Alzheimer's Association.
Sadly, Murphy passed away on December 20, 2009, at the age of 32. The cause of her death was ruled as pneumonia with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. Her sudden death shocked and saddened the entertainment world and her fans.
